MIDI editing with the Step Editor

- [Instructor] In the previous movie we used a special view MIDI Draw to edit one continuous controller MIDI message at a time in the piano roll editor as we see here. But what if we want to view and edit more than one continuous controller message at the same time. There is actually a special MIDI editor exactly for this purpose. It's called the Step Editor. In this movie we'll explore how and when you might want to use this alternative way to edit MIDI. So let's close out of the piano roll and let's keeping the B section synth which remember has continuous controller messages, it has modulation and pitch information in it. Let's view this in the Step Editor. To get to the Step Editor you have to go up to window, open Step Editor. It doesn't have a quick key associated with it although you could customize it yourself in the key commands customization window. But for now let's open up the Step Editor.
