Mixing vocals
In the next couple videos, we're going to apply what we've covered so far, to mixing the vocals in both Say Something, and Girl got Attitude. Because both songs are in different genres, out mix approach will be a little different on each song. I'm going to start with Say Something. If you've been working along and you don't have the exercise files just make sure your project has a few vocal tracks. Say Something is a much more intimate song and because of that the production only has a few background vocal parts. We've already done a bunch of the work getting here but let's pick up where we left off and finish mixing this vocal. I'm going to solo the lead vocal here. And, add a little compression, but I want to keep this clean since I am doing parallel compression on the vocal. And, you know, what?
