Multiband compressors
- [Narrator] Now let's talk about multipressor, which is logic stock, multi-band compressor and expander. There are a lot of different possibilities with this particular plugin, but what I want you to remember is that a multi-band compressor is just multiple compressors that are looking at multiple frequency ranges, and then also compressing those separately, and then everything is summed together in the output. So this is actually four separate compressors that are listening to different things. And they're also compressing or processing those particular frequency ranges. We can set the range for each compressor, each band, if you will, by setting these crossover frequencies. And we can even remove bands if we want to. So I can have it be just two bands. I can have it be just three, let's do three for now. I've got this on the mix bus, but there are a lot of different places where you could use a multi band compressor.…
