One-note chords with Chord Trigger
- [Lecturer] Now we're going to talk about the chord trigger. I'm going to turn it off and just give you an idea of what we are listening to right now. I've pulled up this quick sampler "Clunky da Fox," which sounds like a great rap name, I think. (separated music notes) Okay? So let's turn on chord trigger. Chord trigger is super handy. Basically you hit one note, it spits out a chord, okay? (music chords) This is really cool because, again, it's grounded in a function of sort of classic keyboards that you may actually recognize as a musical sound, like a lot of house music used this type of non-modal non-diatonic moving chords because basically what you're hearing is just the same shape moved all around, sort of like a guitar bar chord.
