- [Instructor] I still have the Bounce Parameters window open from our last movie. And I want to talk about Normalize, but before we get there, I want to make the point that when you accept a mix project, you should talk to your client, or coworker, and determine the output level that you're going to be handing back. And the common choices would be zero dB, or minus three, minus six, minus 10, maybe minus 12. I don't think anybody's going to ask for anything softer than minus 12, and I don't recommend zero dB because there's too much chance of clipping, digital distortion, and you don't want that in your mix. So, at the beginning of this mix, Mike and I agreed that I would deliver a composite mix, that's the dialogue, the sound effects, and the music all together in one file, at minus six. So, with that in mind, let's talk about Normalize. If I set the master output to be no louder than minus six, and we're going to do that in a minute, and then I tell my Bouncer to Normalize it…
