Pitch shift using a DSP plugin

Pitch shift using a DSP plugin

- [Instructor] I've jumped out of our mix for the moment because I wanted to show you some pitch shift options in Logic, and these weren't really appropriate for any one of our tracks in the Inmate clip, but I think they'll be useful to you in other contexts, so let's take a look. So, we'll start with this wind. So, how did I get this wind? I went to the loop library, typed in wind in the search, and there are 10, 13 winds there. I picked number one, and I just chopped off everything after 10 seconds, that's how it got the one dot one, and let's take a listen. (wind blowing) Well, so the pitch isn't perfectly static, it changes with the speed of the wind, as real wind would, but it has kind of a center of pitch, and if we want to change that center of pitch, we can highlight this track, go to audio effects, go to pitch, pitch shifter, and stereo. And I'll bring the plugin down here, so we can see everything there is to see, and you can see that this factory default is kind of spring…
