- [Instructor] Now that we have a better understanding of some of the synthesizer parameters in Retro, let's take a look at how to compose with automation for a bit. So, as I mentioned in the last video, in many cases in electronic music, especially minimal techno or deep house, the music will be loop based but what's changing isn't necessarily the notes. In a lot of cases, what is changing are filter parameters, vibrato, oscillator tunings, and in many genres, composing with automation is a really standard practice and can really keep the track flowing and keep interest on the dance floor when you're listening to loop based music, because really, a lot of subtle changes are happening that aren't just note based.
