Retro Synth: Oscillators and modulation

- [Instructor] Now it's time to talk about Retro Synth. Retro Synth is a recent addition to the Logic quiver of synthesizers and it fills a really cool niche that has been left by the other instruments which is that of a vintage synthesizer. Retro Synth is specifically created to emulate the sounds of classic poly synths, basically. Many of which are analog, but some of which are not. We'll talk about some of the different models that we have going on. Right off the bat though we can just hear the classic analog type sounds. You can think of this almost as a mini-mode type of structure but of course it is polyphonic. It doesn't cost $3700 per voice. (synth chords) Sounds quite good. (synth notes) We can check out some of the different sounds if we like. I'd like to stay for now actually with the analog setting because it's the most basic structure but as you go through some of the different presets you're going to find a lot of different vibes in there.
