- [Instructor] Now as we go through some of the presets here we're going to find that we have some different characteristics of different types of sounds within Retro Synth. That's because Retro Synth was designed to emulate three or four different types of classic synthesizers or synthesis techniques, if you want to look at it that way. For example, Sync could be looked at as sort of a Dave Smith Prophet type vibe. Table is meant to emulate the PPG Wave which was one of the first wavetable synthesizers, if not the first. And then FM, given its look you may be able to spot it right off the bat, it's supposed to be similar to the Yamaha DX7 and may give some of you nightmares. So let's start out by checking out some of these different presets that we have here, and I'm just going to go over to Synth Keyboards. So Calming Bells, for example.
