- [Instructor] In the world of professional audio and sound design, there are a variety of tools used to create the sounds themselves. Let's talk about a few of the industry standards now. So first, we have Pro Tools. Now, Pro Tools is the current industry standard for mixing film, television, live music, and more. It's really known for its superior audio editing capabilities, and it's great when working with large audio files or hours of recorded audio content. Another one I want to mention is Logic. Logic is Apple's professional solution and it's a very popular DAW, or digital audio workstation, for commercial audio and music production. This can be like jingle writing or mixes for film and original recorded music. It's also great working with timeline-based or traditional workflow, in other words, left to right on a linear timeline.
