Tutorial: Making a synth bass

- [Illustrator] Crafting a rock solid synth bass tone, can take your song to new heights in terms of groove and energy. In this movie, I'll show you how to use all the parameters we've learned about to craft a bass tone, using the Moog Mini Emulation by Arturia. As usual, it starts with the oscillators. So, right now, in our sort of default setup, we're only hearing the oscillator number one, and it's the only one that has any volume. This is where you can control the volume of all three oscillators. And number one, is the only one that has volume. So, here's our sequence, it's the Pulse Legato Base Sequence, and it sounds like this. (bass music) It doesn't sound much like a base yet. Okay. So, the first thing we want to do, is lower the pitch of this oscillator. So, instead of an eight-foot wave form, we're going to move down to a longer wave form 16 feet, and this will give us a deeper tone. (bass music) Next…
