- [Instructor] If you've ever used a sampler before, whether inside Logic or not, you know how powerful and realistic a really good collection of sampled instruments can be with a correctly mapped and nuanced sample playback engine. Let's take a look at the new powerhouse Sampler that's been given a facelift in Logic 10.5 and up. For many versions, the sampler in Logic has gone by the name of EXS24. And now, they've effectively renamed it to Sampler. The name change is simple, and as you'll see, the user interface is every bit as powerful, but just way easier to navigate and look at. So let's take a look. I have a track here with the Sampler loaded up. You can see it's just again named Sampler and it looks like this. So it's a little bit easier on the eyes than the all the EXS24. And it's pretty easy to use. They have these headers up top. They give you the different sections. So as you can tell, it's just as complex, but just laid out in a bit of an easier way.
