Using pattern regions for drum programming

- [Instructor] Let's go ahead and experiment with using pattern regions for drum programming. So I'm just going to go ahead and bring in maybe our Airy Vox synth and I'm going to take that and bring it to the arrangement. And now, remember, this is an audio file. So it's loading up this audio file here. Now let's go ahead and I'm just going to loop this and now let's go down to a beat machine kit that I've loaded onto a track. So this has brought up an instance of Drum Machine Designer and you can see Drum Machine Designer here. And if I go ahead and just play some notes on my midi keyboard (random music) we can trigger all these different drums. Now I could, if I wanted, right click and create a midi region. And if I do that it'll show me all the different drum sounds that are in the kit. And I could, if I wanted, program them here. But it's way more fun to do this in pattern regions.
