- Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. We know that to be true, because our mothers said so. And with that in mind, we're going to discuss imitation from a variety of surprising directions. Before we discuss the value of a logo imitating a handmade process, let's validate a need to even consider doing such a thing. We'll start with Pottery Barn, Target, and Pier 1. They're a good mix of merchants that're responsible for propagation of style, but they can't force us to buy what we don't want.
