- When we talk about plants and the value they bring to a brand's story it reminds me that there are so many stories and such great symbolism that conveying just a part of that information could take some time. As you may have figured out about me by now I love information and the more I know the better I can relay it. I encourage you to develop an inquisitive nature as a breadth of knowledge has an exact relationship to your value as a designer. Just looking up Oak tree in an encyclopedia or on wiki or other resources you can find a good chapter on various symbology associated with the tree. Did you know that as a symbol of strength and endurance it is one of the most used national symbols worldwide? Or that the leaves can be poisonous to livestock? Or that it's responsible for imparting crucial flavors to beverages stored in oak barrels or to smoked fish and cheeses? Did you know that there are 600 species of the tree, or that in Greek mythology the Oak was the most sacred of all…
