Globes: International business or caretaker

- I thinks it's fair to suggest that the globe is probably one of the most used icons in the logo designer's vernacular. And it's not always because the designer wants it to be. Often, the client pressures for its inclusion because they are an international concern, or do business globally. I've often said that, if you're using a globe because your client has an international audience, you aren't looking very deep for something unique to say. It's the mark that may rely on the visual vernacular of a globe but has found a way to integrate a secondary or tertiary message with it that breaks through the "me, too" challenge of identity design. There are so many ways to render a globe, and each technique carries some pretty impacting symbolism. We know by looking at the following marks that they are more than a series of flat, adorned circles. Why is that?
