Writing: A bit less formal

- If the written word is not indicative of the human effort, we'd be hard-pressed to say what is. From scribbling to printing to cursive was a path to get us up to speed in school. I understand that handwriting is soon to be a lost art, as it doesn't appear in common core curriculum and 41 of 50 states no longer require writing and the reading of it. Aside from that being a generally interesting statistic, there really is a point here. The written word is on track for becoming illegible to a younger generation. There are more fonts to consider that start to cross over and look more like printing and less like writing but with characteristics of both. The wordmark for "Peace, love and desserts" is one of those that, besides looking a bit brutish, has a touch of writing style blended in to primarily print characters. "Mixed" is also a pretty aggressive handwriting but it too is mostly printing. Additionally, designers are starting to lift up the traditionally slanted cursive letters so…
