- Instead of imagining that a leaf is just a leaf think of their special purpose or place and how that might relate to the story that you're trying to convey. In a way, the leaf is like the name badge for a tree and every type of tree produces a pretty unique leaf profile. Some more evident than others. This logo for Willow Creek obviously needed to reflect the profile of the long, thin, wispy leaves of the tree. Which were also perfect for creating this monogram for the client. This logo for Twin Oaks Golf Course does something interesting by taking the leaves of an Oak and allowing them to depict a pair of Oak trees. Leaves or trees? You decide. Bamboo and Clover leaves each carry different messages that the consumer will quickly associate with good luck or sustainability. It makes for a deeper message. Sometimes that deeper meaning is a very evident association built between a plant and a place. Much as the Palm tree and the Pine tree might represent a general geography. Some…
