- In this video I'd like to take you through the audio menu options that you have in the GH5. There's quite a few of them, and, in fact, they can change depending on what you've connecting to the camera. So let's start by showing you how to enable or disable the audio level meters. Open the menu and on the motion picture menu navigate to page three of four where you'll see mic level display. You see it's currently set to off. If I turn that on, you'll notice in the lower left corner a pair of audio level meters. Now this is currently reading the audio off of the built in microphone, the two mics on the top of the camera. Now these are obviously not great microphones. Not only are they tiny and just generally pretty low quality, but they're also built into the camera, which means they're likely to pick up any camera operational noise. In general, this is not a good pair of mics to use. You probably want to have some type of external microphone, which we'll be talking about throughout…
