- To connect your smartphone to your GH5 you need to install an app from the app store, whether you're on IOS or on Android, go to the appropriate app store and search for Panasonic Image App. You might find a few different apps. The one you see on the screen now is the one you want. It's called Panasonic Image App, but you'll also find possibly something called Panasonic LUMIX remote and also Panasonic Lumix Link. Those are not the ones you want. You want to make sure you get the right one which is Panasonic Image App. Go ahead and download that. Get that installed on your smart phone. Now the next thing want to tell you is about troubleshooting. Let's face it, when it comes to wireless technology things don't always work as planned, especially when you're talking about marrying technology made by two different manufacturers.
