Repurposing diffuse maps for detailed supporting maps
- Our supporting maps known as beck, bump, and roughness that we've spoke about in another movie will allow us to bring out details in our model that are impossible with diffuse maps only. So we can do is create those different channels based from what we've already painted in our diffuse. So we don't have to really reinvent the wheel. And they'll have different values and I'll talk about them now, and they don't have to be exact right away. We can sort of adjust those as we talk about shaders in another movie, but let's just get those channels built so we have something to start with. And so if we go over to Channels over here, we can just start from the top. And let's click in bump, and that's going to take us to our bump channel and you know, right now we're just looking at our base layers so that's why everything is gray. And I want some sort of context so I'll kind of flip through our different shader models up here. And this second one is fine. It's just some basic lighting…
