Assigning materials

- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to assign materials to the remaining parts of the sole. So there's two materials I want to apply. One that's going to be applied to the sides and another that's going to be applied to the parts of the underside that don't already have a material assigned to them yet. So with my sole bevel mesh selected in the item list and in polygon mode, what I'm going to do is I'm just going to select a couple of polygons here on the top, and then I'll hit the L key to select the entire loop. And then using the shift up arrow key, I'm just going to expand this selection until it reaches the bottom of the underside, so down to here. Then I'll click on add operator, and in the polygon section, I'll locate the material tag mesh up and I add that to the top of my stack. I'm going to name this material sole side, and then let's switch to the shader tree, select the base shader. Let's add a new…
