Creating the dials

- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to model the dials that are on the control panel and I can use the texture map as a template for their position. So, the first step is going to be to set the work plane because this control panel is at an awkward angle. So go up to the Work Plane button and hold Option to open the work plane pop over. Now you may already have a work plane bookmark saved for the control panel but if not, just simply select the control panel mesh in the item list, select this polygon and use the button to align work plane to selection. Now I've created an empty mesh item named Dial, so that's where I'm going to create my first dial, so I'll just zoom in on this position roughly here. I'll dismiss the work plane pop over. I'll activate the cylinder tool and I hold Control while I draw out a cylinder and just place it over my texture map template. Now I'll ensure that the top and bottom are being kept as single polygons and then I'll hit Q to drop the cylinder tool.…
