Creating the white keys

- In this video, I'm going to start modeling the white keys. Now the white keys are slightly more complicated, because they need to fit around the black keys. So, there needs to be a notch taken out of the white key, wherever it's next to a black key. And some of the white keys are going to have one notch, and some of them are going to have two. So obviously the smart thing to do, will be to just model the notch once, and then mirror it over on those keys that need to have it on both sides. So I've created a new empty mesh called "White Keys". But,the first step I need to take, before I start modeling, is to position the work plane. So to do this I'll select the key template mesh and I'm going to switch to polygon mode. I'll select this polygon and I'll hold option and open the work plane options and I'll align the work plane to the selection. And then I can dismiss the work plane popover. Then I can reselect my White Keys mesh in the item list, and just to make visibility a little…
