Defining a rubber material

- [Instructor] In this video, I want to create the material that's going to be found on the underside of the sole. Now this is split into two separate materials, there's one material for the tread, and one for the gaps in between. But let's start by selecting this mesh, and then hovering over the tread part of the sole, right-clicking and in the resulting menu, I'm going to go down to "shaders" and locate the "tread material" in sub menu so that I can select it in the "shader tree". I change the shading model from "physically-based" to "principled", and for my diffuse color, I'm going to reuse the "swatch" that I saved earlier. So let's click on the "color" to open the color picker, locate the "swatch", and just click on it to then assign that as my diffuse color. And because I want this to be a very dull rubber, I'm going to increase the roughness to 80%. Then I'm going to hit the "escape key" to de-select everything,…
