Image-based lighting

- [Instructor] So now that we've taken a quick look at aerial lights, we're going to look at an alternative approach to lighting your scenes, and that is to light your scenes using high dynamic range images. And these a special type of image that can hold much higher levels of brightness and contrast compared to regular JPEGs or bitmaps. And these images are normally stored in one of two formats, either .EXR or dot HDR. So I'm going to click on this icon to open an image browser on the right hand side of the interface and then I'm going to click on "Add Clip" and I'm going to select "Load Image". That's going to open the file browser and I'm going to select this image in the Images sub folder at the exercise files for this course. And this image is called Studio Lighting 1.EXR. And with the image selected in the clip browser we can see a preview of it in the image pane below, and it's basically a studio lighting setup…
