Modeling the ends
- So using the bridge tool, I've now connected all of the lace segments together going through the eyelets. And now I need to define the end section the laces. So ensuring that I'm in polygon mode with my lace topology mesh selected in the item list, I'm going to switch to the topology tools, and I'm going to activate the pencil. And then I'm going to zoom in on the top part of the shoe. And I'm going to draw out a quad polygon on the top part of the shoe, trying to match the thickness of the laces that already exist. And then once I'm happy, I'm going to switch to the topology pencil. And let's just readjust the viewpoint to keep adjusting the shape. Then holding SHIFT, I'm going to highlight the right hand edge and just drag out another edge from there. And then I'm just going to drag out a couple more edges until we get right to the very edge of the template mesh. And once I'm happy with the shape, I hit Q to drop…
