Prototype rendering: Using cel shading
- [Instructor] So we've now completed the prototype stage of this asset and it gives us a chance to evaluate a simplified form of this design in three dimensions. But in order to really evaluate the design, we're going to need to render it from a few different angles. And so in this video, we're going to set up a simplified render using white background, white materials and cell shading, just so that we can evaluate the design without the distractions of lighting or materials. So let's begin. The first step will be to create some sort of ground for the shoe to rest on. And the fastest way to do that is to add a unit plane to the scene. So the way you do that, is you come over to the create tab. And if you hold Shift, you can see that the icons are changing. And here you have a plane with a plus sign. So if you hold Shift and click that button, it's going to add a one meter long and one meter wide plane into your scene…
