Refining the main shape
- [Instructor] So now that I've plucked out the main shape of the shoe, I need to make a few more edits using the standard modeling tools just to get a little bit closer to the shape I'm looking for. So with my mesh item selected in the item list I'm going to switch into polygon mode, and then I'm just going to tumble the view port and I'm going to paint select all of the polygons on the bottom part of the shoe. And with that selection made, I'm going to hit R to run the scale tool and I'm going to scale everything in the wide just to flatten the bottom part of the shoe. And then I'm going to hit w to activate the move tool. And it's going to make sure that everything is moved down so it's well into the sole area of the shoe. With that done, I hit q to drop the tool. Then I'll spin round and just take a look at the mesh from the rear. And I can see that I need to widen the shoe at this point. So I'm going to hit r, activate…
