UV mapping the eyelets

In this video I'm going to unwrap the eyelets that connect the lace holders to the shoelaces and because all of the various duplicates of this item are instances, once I unwrap the original then that unwrap will be propagated to all the copies. So I'm going to open a UV window here on the left-hand side let's select the default UV texture. You can see that we have existing UVS but they're no good to us. So I'm going to switch into edges mode and I'm also going to hide all of the background measures and let's zoom in, to take a closer look at this eyelet. And I think the best way to unwrap this mesh will be to create a cut map. So I'll head over to the UV tools. That's click on the cut map button and let's drag the cut map, pop over and pin it over here on the right-hand side, I'm going to create a new UVC which I'm going to name eyelet, and now I'm going to need to start adding edges into the scene.
