User channels and the Schematic view

- This video is going to be an introduction to user channels and to the schematic view in MODO. And what I'm going to do, is I'm going to change the way this controller kit is set up, so that when you click it, instead of bringing up this Rotation Tool, it's going to bring up a slider instead. And to do this, I'm going to need to create a user channel. So first of all I'm going to hit Q to drop the Rotation Tool. And with the locator selected in the item properties, I'm going to go to the user channels tab. I'm going to tick on add user channel and that's going to add a custom channel to my locator. I'm going to call it Rotation. I'm going to check use minimum value and use maximum value. I'm going to set the minimum value to minus 27 and I'm going to set the maximum value to minus 45. And I'm going to set the type to angle and basically having these minimum and maximum values is going to constrain the rotation according to those values. So with that done I'll tick OK.
