- [Instructor] Using a mouse or trackpad to point and click on something is pretty standard, but most modern mice and trackpads have more functionality than just a simple click. First, let's see the right-click. So some mice have two buttons, one on the left and one on the right. The button on the left is the primary click. It's the main action that you would use to select or drag something. So if I go to an icon in the dock and click using the left mouse button, which is what I normally do, it opens up that application. But clicking on the right mouse button is known as a right-click or secondary click. So if I click on that same icon with the right mouse button, you'll see it opens up this menu, and this menu is contextual, which means you get a different menu depending on what you right-click on.
