First time setup for a new Mac
- [Instructor] If you buy a new computer with macOS Big Sur or if you do a fresh installation of macOS, there will be an initial setup process the first time you start up your computer. It will take a moment to start up, then you should see a screen like this, which will prompt you to answer several questions. Some are really obvious, like setting my location. So let's do that. So I'll scroll through the list. I'm in the United States. So I just select that and click Continue. You can see how that works. So let's skip forward past some of these more obvious questions. Now, many of the things you do on your Mac and in this training course will require an internet connection. So one of the first things you might see is a screen prompting you to sign into a WiFi network, which I do not see because my computer is connected to the internet with a cable. But if you do use WiFi, you will see a step in this process prompting…
