- [Instructor] This video will cover a few ways to launch applications on your Mac and some additional details that go with it. Now, the easiest way to launch an application is to probably use the Dock, that's this row with large icons in it, just find the icon for the application you want, click on it to launch the application. Now, when you launch an application a little black dot will appear below the icon in the Dock. And also a window usually opens when you launch an application. But even if you don't see a window, you know an application is running when that little black dot appears under the icon. Now I'm sure you've noticed not every application on your computer is in the Dock. So a different way to launch an application is to go to Launchpad, which is another button here in the Dock. You can think of Launchpad sort of like the home screen on an iPhone or an iPad. You can click on any application here to launch…
