- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the Maps application that comes with macOS. I'll just launch it here from the dock. The first time you launched the Maps application it will ask for your permission to use your computer's location information so it can show your position on the map. Or you could click this button in the toolbar up at the top to find your current location. But I'm not going to do that here. I want to start with this optional sidebar over on the left. You can close and open that using this button right here. I do want to have it open so we can use the search field. From here, you could search for the name of a big city or a specific street address, or even just the name of an interesting landmark. Type it in, hit the return key, and it will center the map on that location. When you find a location, this information panel will pop up with lots of options. Now, some big cities will have these pre-made guides…
