Search for files using Spotlight
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about Spotlight, which is a tool for searching for files on your computer, and also searching for content online. To access Spotlight, just go to the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar near the top right, then just search for a word or a phrase. I'll search for California. So it has the top search results selected, which is a folder on my computer that has that word in the name, but below that is an option to see general search results or search results on the web. I'm going to select the general search results and hit Return. And this gives me a list of results organized by categories. So of course, I can see files and folders on my computer with that word in the name, but it also searches inside of documents as well. The other search results might be email messages, notes, songs from my music collection, pictures from my photo collection, and it also finds websites and news…
