Use the Messages app for text-based messages
- [Instructor] The Messages application is used for text-based conversations with other people. You can send and receive messages on a Mac or an iPhone or an iPad. I'm going to launch Messages from the Dock here. Now to use this application, you and the people you talk to will need to be signed into an iCloud account. If you are not already signed in, when you launch the application, you would be prompted to sign in here. I'm already signed in, so let's send a message. I'll just click the Compose button up here at the top, then I'll click on this To field, and here you'll need to type in the contact information for your recipient. This must be either an email address or a phone number that is registered with that person's iCloud account. Or if you already have that contact information saved in your address book, you can just type in their name, it will search your address book, and you can see here, I do have John in my…
