- [Instructor] Now that you have an audience, it's time to add some contacts. To get contacts into your list, you can import them or create a sign up form. I recommend both. And in this video, I'll show you how to import contacts that you've saved from another source. To add contacts to your audience, select this dropdown and choose import. You can import contacts by copying and pasting a list from a spreadsheet. Or you can go ahead and open the whole file. We're going to browse to select a file and continue to organize this audience's data. Choose subscribed to indicate that you have obtained permission to market to the contacts that you are importing. This is very important because MailChimp does not allow purchase lists. You can see that MailChimp lets you import contacts that are subscribed or unsubscribed or cleaned from an old list.
