Creating maps in Maestro

- [Instructor] Once you've created your layers, you can bring them all together in a map. The map will enable you to control things like coordinate system, labels, and a display order of your layers. So let's create a brand new map. First we'll hit new resource, and we'll pick map definition at the top. I'd like to turn off all these other items here just so they don't clutter up my space. Yeah, so map definition is what I want right there, and hit add. So let's upgrade. There we go. So we start with a description, and we can just call this the Nanaimo Map. I'm not going to worry about coordinate system or anything yet, or background color I'll leave background white. All these will be set as soon as I drag and drop my first layer. So in this case, I'm going to bring in the road center lines. As soon as I did that, it looked at that shape file that it's based on the road center lines, found the upper and lower right…
