Creating point layers

- [Instructor] Point layers in Map Guide can use simple icons that are bundled with the product or you can create your own images. We'll look at both ways to create point layers in this video. We're going to have to create a new point symbol first if we're going to use the advanced one but let's use the simple one first. I'm going to open up the layer called intersections. That's already been preloaded because we use that exercise where we use a load procedure to create both the data and the layers. If you don't have that, but you have the data created, you can always browse to the dataset and recreate it. For example, I have intersection layer here but I can create a new resource, pick a brand new drawing layer, vector layer definition, browse to my data and pick on intersections because this is where the data set for this layer is going to come from?
