Using the exercise files

- [Instructor] After downloading the data from the LinkedIn Learning site, extract the exercise files to your desktop. That's where much of this course assumes the data is located. As you work through the different lessons, you'll find the data in these folders. One thing I want to point out though is there's a packages folder that we don't talk about in the course. The packages are each lesson or exercise already completed. As you get familiar with Maestro, you'll be wanting to use these packages to catch up in case you missed an earlier exercise or video. This will get you caught up to that point in the video. For example, inside a MapGuide Maestro, I can pick package, load package, browse to the packages folders on my desktop, and you can see here that chapter three, exercise four is already there. If I hit open, and OK, it'll load all the data that I need for the next lesson. So now you can see that I've opened it up and I've got all the data and everything is set up, so I'm caught up. So if you want to jump ahead, as long as MapGuide server is running, you can because we have these packages in place, but nowhere else throughout the course do we talk about packages, so I just want you to be aware that they're there, they're available and they'll get you caught up to the place that you need to be.
