- "If you build it, they will come." That's a philosophy that worked magically in the movie "Field of Dreams" but it won't work for your content marketing. Instead, I suggest if you build it, tell people to come, again and again and again. In other words, plan to promote your content. So to help you plan, I'm going to share two ways to tell people about your content. One highly effective way to promote your content is email, this means asking people to sign up for your email list and sending updates about your content. The big advantage to email is control, take growing your email list, for example, no matter what happens with social media feeds or search engine algorithms, you have a list of people who care about your content and a way to contact them.
