Picking the content channels and formats that work well for the audience you want to reach can seem overwhelming, but taking time to choose wisely will set your content marketing up for success. To make your choice easier, I'm sharing three guidelines. The first is to pick a channel or a set of channels that your audience already uses. You can't assume that everyone is on every social media site or digital platform. For example, YouTube has a large global audience, but 62% of it is male, and 80% of it is from outside the United States. If you're trying to reach an audience of mostly American women, YouTube might not be the best choice for your content marketing.
