- If you're in a conversation with someone and they only talk about themself, you start to tune out, right? Well, it's the same thing when you write lead gen content. If you only think about what you want, you probably won't get people's attention and will turn them off. You have a much better chance to entice people if you understand their perspective and what's important to them. Here's a three-step process to write relevant, motivating content to engage your target audience. Step one, review your target demographic and psychographic insights. Think from the target's perspective. What information do they seek? What are their expectations? What pain point can you solve for them? Step two, review your competitive analysis. What do your competitors say in their marketing and sales collateral? Make sure you differentiate from competition and position your brand as the better option.
