- To keep people interested in your live video, it's important to create opportunities for engagement. Interact with your audience while you're going live so they feel like they're a part of the experience and that they're a part of your live video. You want to make sure that you're having a conversation, rather than just giving a lecture online. I love making use of the comments or chat box by encouraging people to type answers in during the live video. Here's what I do to create engagement during live videos. I like to start my videos off by asking people to type a "hello" in the comments if they're watching. This is a simple way to greet your audience and it gives them a chance to start engaging immediately. I also like to ask people to type in the comments where they're tuning in from.
