- Marketing and Sales are often seen as two separate teams. Most marketers really don't consider themselves to be in Sales because Sales usually directly interacts with prospects while Marketing is about attracting those prospects and helping them convert. But I think the biggest mistake is marketers not believing they're embedded in the same process as the Sales team. Now you may not work on a large team. You may be running the company, managing the marketing, and handling sales simultaneously, which is all the more reason to accept the fact that there's blurry lines between Sales and Marketing.
