How is the marketing funnel used?

- Unorganized thinking leads to mediocre conversions. To stay organized and focus our thoughts, we use the funnel. Why, well because when you're aware that a consumer must move through a series of steps before converting, you can better align your attention and your marketing efforts. A common mistake is thinking that awareness will directly lead to a conversion. The purpose of the funnel, however, is to make it incredibly clear that this isn't the case. There are no shortcuts. The number of users who go from awareness directly to a conversion, skipping all other steps, is zero. Every sale goes through the process, but the speed at which the process happens can definitely vary. For example, you can be walking along the street and see a merchant selling sunglasses.
