- [Instructor] One of the best ways you can ensure early success for your new demand generation programs is to do your postmortem upfront. That's right. Instead of waiting until your first campaigns have launched, spend time upfront figuring out how they're going to fail and honestly, this can be a lot of fun. You can start with your own lists but I recommend you do this as a group with your teammates. Basically include anyone who's going to be involved in the campaign and this might include copywriters, marketing operations team members, anybody in sales that will follow up with your leads and so forth. Allow yourself time and creative license to brainstorm all the ways your campaign could go off the rails and I guarantee that you will identify sometimes accidentally things that you haven't thought of that can create immediate adjustments, safeguards and safety nets to increase early success.
