- [Instructor] The SWOT Analysis Method is a simple way to identify, list and prioritize issues that, with focus, can improve the performance of individuals, organizations or companies in almost any scenario. While a SWOT Analysis is useful in this regard, by itself, it lacks a means to provide actual strategies for converting weaknesses into strengths or taking advantage of opportunities. The list of words and bullet points collected of each part of a SWOT Analysis can often be terse and an oversimplification of a situation that's more complex. Weighting and ranking of list elements are helpful, but the question for each aspect of a SWOT Analysis remains, now that we have these lists, what do we do with them? I'd like you to think about each of the lists from a SWOT Analysis as assets that can be leveraged for action, starting with strengths.
