- Let's say you only get one chance to make a good impression. And I'd like to suggest that maybe you get about 90 in the world of professional services, but you have to nail all 90 of them. Experience tells me that how an engagement goes, how a client feels about working with you in the first 90 days will dictate a great deal of how loyal they'll become, about how many referrals they will actually make. So we have to lock down that first 90 days and be very intentional about everyone having the exact same experience. So it starts certainly with the education process. In fact I've often said that how somebody is educated and sold and brought into your business will really dictate how the entire engagement goes maybe for years.
